A Probationary Officer (PO) in the bank is the starting level appointment for bank officers. The IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducting the exams of  Bank PO and clerks. There are 20 banks in India which comes under the IBPS. So we have to follow the guidelines prepared by the IBPS.

IBPS Bank PO Exam is encompasses in two parts

Objective and Subjective.

The subjective section comprises four sections in particular

  • English language test
  • quantitative ability
  • Reasoning
  • General Awareness or, Marketing Aptitude.

Time Management

Generally, the examination is of 135 minutes in which 225 questions are to be solved. This means that for each question, the candidate has 36 seconds in hand. In this type of examination, the maximum accuracy attained in the solutions helps the candidate to make his/her chances of success better.

The descriptive part of the test consists of such question in which the candidates are required to write long answers on current issues. Those candidates who are selected in the written test are then called for Group Discussion and finally, for personal interview.

To prepare for any examination, the candidates need to work hard. They also need to be updated with the vacancies and the updates in the syllabus of the IBPS bank PO exam they are appearing into. Most importantly, they must keep in possession all the required study material and specially, the one needed for general awareness.
